So, have you ever been using your iPhone when all of a sudden - during an important call or while showing your friends that crazy game - the iPhone shuts off? Oh, no, your iPhone died due to a lack of charging. Well, never fear, to the rescue comes Battery Magic - a new FREE App from mynewapps.com.
So, how does it work?
When you plug in your iPhone, open the App and you'll see a charging battery icon with the percentage of charge. Under that is a scrollable window with categories such as 3d Game Play, Game Play, Talk Time, 3g Internet, etc. with the time remaining on the battery for each of those functions, (i.e., Talk Time 3 hrs 20 min.).
There is also a category for Recharge Time which is helpful since it tells you how long it will take for the iPhone to be fully charged - great idea for when you're in hurry. As you go through your day, you can check the Battery Magic App and it will show you how much time is left for each function you can perform on the phone.
Having used Battery Magic for a few days, I can say that I am more aware of my remaining battery charge and have not had my iPhone die on me. This is a great benefit for me and it's all thanks to Battery Magic. There is also a Battery Magic Pro version which alerts you with a sound when the iPhone is fully charged - a nice touch letting you know you're ready to go. Battery Magic Pro only costs $1.99 and I highly recommend it..
