Our Review:

I don’t get iHandgun….I admit it, I just don’t “Get it”…

iHandgun is not really a ‘simulator’, it’s more like the lighter app(s) that were popular a little over a year ago; except with hand guns. What was cool about the lighters at the time was that the idea was original and it filled a ‘need’ that you couldn’t “flick your bic” during your favorite ballad.

While some people might want to shoot the singer of a ballad (something we are neither condoning here, nor suggesting), iHandgun doesn’t fill that void. Nor is it really an original idea.

Now maybe I don’t get it because I don’t own a gun, or maybe it’s because I never shot anything bigger than a bb-gun. So that being said, I will say a few nice things about the app. The guns look nice, and when they fire, explosion and kickback look smooth and the phone vibrates. So the app was definitely well thought out, but I guess I'm not in the demographic. If you are, leave a comment and tell us why you (don't) like it.

Quick Take

Value: Low

Would I Buy Again:  Nah, not really my thing!

Learning Curve: Easy to pick up.

Who Is It For: People that are "into" guns (and toy guns)

What I Like: The graphics are nice.

What I Don’t:  I just don't understand why I would want it.  It seems pointless (to me)

Final Statement:  If you are into guns, maybe you'd like this.   Not being a "gun guy", this doesn't do it for me.
