iOS Devices On Top Of The Clouds As The Most Popular Way To Use In-Flight Internet – In-Flight Wi-Fi service, Gogo, released some numbers today on their blog, showing that Apple devices are still the most popular way passengers are accessing the internet via the service while flying above 10,000 feet.

Apple issues minor updates to iWork for iOS apps – Apple has just released very minor updates to its iWork for iOS apps. Pages, Keynote and Numbers have all been updated with “stability improvements and bug fixes.” Let us know in the comments if you notice anything different!

Apple Launches $1099 21.5-Inch iMac With 3.3 GHz Dual-Core i3 Processor for Educational Institutions – Apple appears to have quietly introduced an updated version of its low-end 21.5-inch iMac for educational institutions, taking advantage of a cheaper dual-core Intel Core i3 processor and integrated graphics to offer pricing of $1099, $200 cheaper than the entry-level pricing for consumer models.

Apple Makes Gains in U.S. Smartphone Market Share – comScore today released the results of its monthly rolling survey of U.S. mobile phone users for the November-January period, finding that Apple’s smartphone marketshare rose 3.5 percentage points between October and January, up to 37.8% of both U.S. smartphone platform and hardware sales.

Google’s latest creation just hit the App Store today and it’s focused on local discovery. Field Trip has previously been an Android-only app, but Google is bringing it to the iPhone today for free. The app is kind of like Google Now.

Facebook unveils redesigned, cleaner News Feed coming to iPhone, iPad & Web – In the coming weeks, Facebook users on iPhone, iPad and regular Web browsers will see a revamped News Feed designed to reduce clutter while becoming more colorful and visually stimulating.

Phil Schiller Tweets Link to Mobile Malware Report That Slams Android – Today, Phil tweeted a link to a ‘Mobile Threat Report’ from research company F-Secure. Most of the report highlights security and malware vulnerabilities in the Android operating system, while mentioning only a couple of iOS issues. He warns followers to “be safe out there”.
