Saturday Quick Takes – VooDude and Pocket God

Aspyr recently introduced VooDude. If ever you wanted the opportunity to take your aggressions out on an inanimate object this is the application. VooDude presents you with the image of a stuffed figure made of burlap with a button for an eye. Like any good voodoo doll you are left to abuse the figure in any way you wish. You can stick it with pins — and it makes a sad sound. You can fry the little sucker and listen to him sizzle away. You can use the touchscreen of the iPhone to spin him around. And you can stretch him and make him cry out in pain. And if that isn’t enough you can take a picture with your iPhone or grab one from your photo library and pasted onto the VooDude. That way you’re not just getting out your aggressions in a general sense but on a specific individual, no less.

At your mercy…

Have your own personal voodoo doll with you everywhere you go by downloading Voodude for your iPhone or iPod Touch. VooDude acts as your stress relief buddy – use the accelerometer and touch screen to shake, pin, burn and toss him – he’ll respond to your slightest whim!

Plus, you can personalize your VooDude by mapping any photo you want on his head – use a picture from your photo library or snap a photo with the iPhone camera. Whether you want to enact revenge or just get some laughs, VooDude gives you the ability to create your own custom Voodoo dolls to put through the wringer and then share with friends.

Voodude Key Features:

  • Use the accelerometer to shake and scramble Voodude
  • Ragdoll physics
  • Touch screen interactivity puts Voodude at the mercy of your fingers
  • Personalize your Voodude by face-mapping
  • Save each of your custom Voodudes to bring them out later for further enjoyment
  • Email your creations to other Voodude users

Without question this is the type of app that you might enjoy but you are best not sharing that fact with too many others.
