It can be used as simple map of the subway system, but it can be expanded to include many more significant details as well. Those with the Metro Paris Subway app can receive push notification regarding disruptions to lines or station closings, even when the app is closed.

They can also locate the nearest stations from their position thanks to Google Maps and GPS technologies. As the user walks the streets, the red pin that indicates their position moves right along with them, and continues to show them upcoming details. If they have created any points of interest (POI) using the in-app databases, these too will be revealed in their Google Maps.

The POIs currently include restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, accommodations, and leisure sites throughout the country. Users also have the option of purchasing the Paris Bus portion of the app as well, and this pairs up all of the Metro information along with any public bus route details as well.

There are travel apps that guide you through the cities and towns of France, but the Metro Paris Subway offers one of the more comprehensive tools for exploring the city independently. The app is compatible with iPod Touch and iPhone devices.
