All the world’s debris is falling. And you have to survive and find out why by climbing all of it. This is the “argument” of The Incident. Intrigued? So we are, read on.
I’ve been seeing The Incident in my Genius app suggestions for a long while. Somehow, I didn’t see the point and didn’t buy. Until a few days ago, bored, sunny afternoon and I needed something to cool down my brain. Oh. and how fun it is!
The Incident starts with our nameless hero going out of his office, looking for a cab. All of sudden, debris starts to fall from the skies: cars, signs, sofas. Many things. To survive you have to escape from being knocked below the pile and climb atop of it to find out what is going on.
To do so, you can jump and move stuff quickly, and are also helped with occasional balloons with extra lives, coins, health or a helmet. Or with an ancient curse that drains your life… beware! Controls are tilt-based, which is a bit ha for an iPad, I’d rather have a virtual stick and a jump button. But oh well, read on for the secret fun control tip 🙂
The Incident‘s style is 8-bit in a very pleasant way even for an iPad or a New iPad, and The Incident offers a very cool control option: use your iPhone or iPod Touch as a controller. To do so, download the app to your iPhone go to options and tap Use as controller. From within your iPad, go to options and select your iPhone as controller. Done! Start a game and you’ll control the character with your small iDevice.
In short: Stylish, original and fun. The Incident won’t disappoint you, but bring countless hours of playing fun.
