For all those who haven’t had the time or were too lazy to search the App Store, we make things easy for you. So here are our top picks for this week.
Runaway: A Road Adventure ($4.99)
Our hero Brian, is a science student about to live his dream of joining the California University. Meanwhile, in another part of the town, the Mafia is dealing a priceless Crucifix which gets misplaced. Surprisingly, their paths meet at some unfortunate point and Brian is tossed into a nightmare. His and his girlfriend, Gina’s lives are in the balance and the only way to make things right is to find the crucifix. Join the duo in the awesome point and click gameplay as you follow the strong storyline and save the day.
CC: Stand-up (Free)
Comedy Central is providing their best clips of stand-up comedies in the CC: Stand-up app and to be honest, I can’t believe it is free. All your favorite comedians line up to cheer you up. As one of their screenshots say, “Watch stand-up all day long – without a two drink, minimum’. I spend 3 continuous hours of stretching my lips and I laughed so hard that my tummy hurt. You know how racial and adulty these can sometimes be; so keep that in mind when you get this awesome app. With the quick search and unique web structure, you’ll surely find the shows best suited for you.
Tall Chess (Free)
Tall Chess has been praised as the LetterPress of chess. You can guess things from that! Have the taste of plain old classic chess, with the difference that your chess board is in a server and your opponent, miles away. The execution is awesome with slide gestures and simple movement controls. One caveat is that only one game can be played at a time in the free version. Simultaneous multiple games need you to make a rather steep purchase. Keep that away and you’re looking at a masterpiece.
Gangstar Vegas ($6.99)
The GTA effect is still up and running strong; the proof being the success of Gameloft’s new iOS sibling, Gangstar Vegas. Jason comes on bad terms with the city’s Don when he accidental wins a wresting match, which he was supposed to lose. This triggers the never ending chase, shots, cops, thugs and everything evil. Just like any other open world games, you can roam around, walk, ride a car, bike or even a plane, rob banks, crash tanks and more and more. Survive, make money, eliminate mobsters, buy properties and be the new don.
Kingdom Rush Frontiers ($4.99)
This is a tower defense game with a twist. There are a number of posts in your territory and you have to build apt turrets to keep enemies away. Kingdom Rush Frontiers is probably the one with most variations in this genre, with archery, militia, bombers and more unlockables, while the enemies range from pirates, dragons, monsters and aliens. Epic bosses, reinforcements and fireball missiles makes it more irresistible.
