Yes we all have good old Google Maps to rely on for our navigational needs. We also have the not so reliable default iOS map app to fall back on. However, getting specific and accurate directions from place to place might require more specialized applications.
HopStop Transit doesn’t have the fancy and detailed maps found in most navigational software, for the simple fact that it doesn’t really need them. HopStop Transit is straight to the point, providing clear and concise instructions on how to get somewhere. Along with a simple to navigate (pun not intended) layout, I say the app is extremely easy to use.
What really aroused my attention was the reporting function in the app. Here, if you were to encounter some sort of delay be it from a traffic jam or some sort of transportation fault along a certain road, you can report it to the system which will then broadcast it to other users and it works both ways too. Social media integration also allows for users to share these details with friends on Facebook and Twitter.
HopStop Transit also gives an estimated time and cost on what it would take to reach your destination.
For a free app, this is something very handy to keep in your device.
