Things have now come to a point, where it is surprising if a Hollywood release is not preceded by an iOS game. FF6 like others, din’t forget to stamp their presence in the AppStore and released a game of the same name, Fast & Furious 6: The Game.
While thinking of a Fast & Furious game, we are undoubtedly expecting a hard core racing game with a strong story line. But it turns out that, this one is just a clone of CSR Racing, sporting strict timing-based drag and drift races.
Yeah, that’s right. No sprints, no laps, no wrecking others!
Timing is the key in Fast & Furious 6: The Game. Do perfect launches, precise shifts and stunning drifts. Indicators are here to help your timings, though. There’s no room for distractions as a small flaw can give you away. A not-so-effective nitro is also included.
Other routine racing stuff like making money, upgrading cars, buying new rides, event maps etc are all in place. There is nothing much to complain about the graphics and sounds, as they are appreciable. A touch of the movie is brought into Fast & Furious 6: The Game by bringing characters like Roman and Brian into the play. Also, trailers and teasers of the movies are built right into the map.
The worst thing about Fast & Furious 6: The Game is that you run out of fuel frequently and you’ve to either wait for five minutes or buy some gas to continue racing. It is like keeping us from getting into the swing; you wouldn’t be able to play more that four games at a time. They want us to spend time watching the trailer, I suppose!
In short, Fast & Furious 6: The Game sports just a mini racing gameplay, but is good at what it does..
