User Rating:Earlier on I wrote a review about the original Sprinkle game, which was followed up by this sequel, Sprinkle Islands. In this game, the concept is the same, put out even more fires spread across your lands.
The controls of the game remain the same as the original. Drag the crane around to adjust the positioning of the nozzle and then get ready to let loose a barrage of water. It could have been a placebo effect, but I personally felt that the controls in this sequel were much more responsive and easier to handle as compared to the original. The original gave me problems with responsive times, which was a real pain when it came to stages that required timing and precision.
I couldn’t really find much differences between this sequel and the original. Sprinkle Islands seems more like an expansion pack of the original to me than an entirely different game on it’s own. I would rather the developers put the levels in as updated in-app purchases for unlock rather than a separate app on it’s own.
All in all at $1.99 it’s a very worthwhile app to have. If you are a fan of the first game, Sprinkle Islands will not let you down.
Quick Take
Value:High
Would I Buy Again:Yes
Learning Curve:Moderate
Who Is It For:Casual gamers
What I Like:The innovativeness of the game
What I Don't Like:It's rather repetitive, especially since this is the second game and there isn't much difference from the first
Final Statement:Spray!
In a not so distant future, a garbage hauling space ship from Earth gets on the wrong course and burning trash is scattered over the beautiful islands of Titan. Help the Titans as used car tyres and soda cans set their villages on fire!
Using intuitive touch controls you control a tiny firetruck, but since the fires are sometimes hard to reach, you need to use obstacles, buttons and elevators to put them out. Your water supply is limited - earn drops by conserving water!
* Four distinct islands with a total of 48 levels provide hours of challenging entertainment.
* Amazing water physics - The original Sprinkle set a new standard for water in games. Sprinkle Islands improves on that with endless oceans, pools and floating objects.
* Easy controls, challenging gameplay!
The original Sprinkle game has been enjoyed by more than eight million people. Join the fun in this improved version!
