iPad 3 rumored to be released in a quarter year
A Taiwan based magazine, DigiTimes had stated that the new iPad will soon be released in 3 to 4 months’ time. They mentioned that their source which supplies parts of Apple components has ramped up their production rate for the next generation iPad 3 to ensure that the global demand will be satisfied. In addition to that, they also mentioned that the production rate for iPad 2 has significantly decreased thus showing that the Cupertino based company will soon be releasing a new and improved product.
In addition to that, DigiTimes also stated that their sources had stated that the decline in iPad 2 parts will be visible in the first quarter of 2012 as the production will be only one-third of the full capacity from the fourth quarter of 2011. It was also noted that the new iPad will have roughly 10 million units ready by the end of the first quarter of 2012. This shows the expectation of Apple for their new product. As usual, it is estimated that a lot of these will be sold off relatively quickly much like its soon-to-be predecessor, the iPad 2.
The price of the new iPad has yet to be confirmed but the price should definitely stay the same as Apple needs to stay competitive in the market.
