One down side of using a mobile device for many business functions is that the interface cannot properly display some of the most common document formats. For instance, opening and viewing a large PDF or text file is usually an unsatisfactory experience. With the Good Reader app, however, the user can retain the document’s clarity and sharpness whether they are zoomed in or looking at a full screen mode.

This app is not a file sharing program, it is a true reader capable of opening and managing many different types of documents and files. It works with its own separate viewing engine rather than relying upon the onboard platform, and this is the reason that text, pictures and PDF files can retain their super-clear appearances.

The app features automatic recognition of most MS Office files, all HTML, iWork, and audio or video files. The user can automatically or manually rotate their view for optimization, and the app allows all users to search documents for text, add bookmarks, quickly navigate through even large files, and save the viewer’s place when a document is closed.

There are some other readers, like the LookSee and the Air Sharing Pro apps that allow a user to manipulate or access a file, but none have the capacity and quality of the Good Reader app. Currently it is available for iPod Touch and iPhone users.

The cost for the app is $4.99 and it is available in several languages.
