If you have ever tried to photograph a scene by taking several different pictures that overlapped you will begin to appreciate the iSynth app. In addition to taking such groups of photos and merging them into a single seamless image, this app also converts them into remarkable three-dimensional experiences too. The iSynth app asks the user to upload their collections of images that they wish to be merged.

The software is then able to detect the naturally occurring areas of overlap, and a single flawless image is created. From there the app then takes the scene a step farther and creates a truly three-dimensional photograph or image that gives the feeling of really “being there”. The app is also directly linked with a powerful companion website that can complete more complex or larger merging and three-dimensional conversions.

These can then be posted and shared with friends and the iSynth community. There is also a nice feature on the app itself in which the user can see the top viewed “synths” on the site and load them to their device as well.

There are all kinds of photo editing apps for iPhone and iPod Touch users, but the iSynth app is the only one with the dual merging and 3D capabilities.
