Are you a doodler? Do you take your mobile artistry seriously? If so, the Layers app is just for you. This is an intuitive program for creating multi-layered works on your iPhone or iPod Touch device, and then sending it as a workable PSD file to your desktop or laptop computer for any further editing or printing. The Layers app uses a wide array of tools and features to allow an artist to create as complex a work as desired.

The interface can be easily manipulated for panning and zooming around the work of art, there are more than five different brush styles and a precise eyedropper tool as well. Each work can have up to five layers that will be retained in the file format and can be opened if saved as a PSD file.

A full color palette is also available, and transparency levels are completely adjustable as well. Artists can import images from their library and use them as templates or outlines from which they can build more layers. Other tools include erasers and a full undo history for complete image control too.

There are many artistic and drawing apps for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, but this is one that allows for the image to be completely saved as a multi-layered design that will also be editable when sent from the device to a computer.
