Have you run into problems getting files on to a mobile device when there is no computer around? If so, you should get the Downloader app because it allows a user to access files in a number of ways while in a wireless network location, save them, and then read them at a later time.

The Downloader works in several different ways – it lets the user copy a web link through the full web browser in the app or an image and then open this through the app, files can also be opened through Safari using the Bookmarklet, or the user can simply tap the Links button in the integrated browser, and lastly files can be shared through a wireless network or other copy of the app.

A helpful download screen shows the status of every file with the amount of time remaining (all downloads can be restarted if interrupted but there is no resume option). The interface allows for easy file management, including naming and moving existing folders and files. The app can extract the contents of zip files, and it supports all of the most frequently used file types including PDF, MS Office files, JPG, MP3, 3GP and more.

There are many file utility applications for mobile devices, but the Downloader app pairs a fully-featured program with an integrated web browser, making it super-easy to use. It is compatible only with iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
