It is an unusual phenomenon, but there is actually a very wide fan following for the chain of hotels known as the Hampton Inn. Now, the Hampton app makes it easy to find any of the 1,700+ sites around the world, and even book a reservation through a mobile device.

With the Hampton app installed on an iPod Touch or iPhone device, the individual can use the built in GPS to find the nearest Hampton Inn locations, or they can search by city, street address or even airport. The app also provides access to more than three thousand other hotels linked to the Hampton brand including Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, and Embassy locations.

The app has a Specials tab that also indicates all current package or discount offerings for any particular site, and allows the user to easily select the room they would like and make their arrangements to stay. If someone is a rewards recipient for Hampton or Hilton brands, the app will also let them check in with their balance and apply the credits toward any reservation too.

There are other hotel brand apps, such as Doubletree and Hilton, but the Hampton app is the exclusive means through which fans of the chain can make their travel arrangements and even scout out Specials too.

There is no cost for the app, but anyone hoping to track rewards, points and honors will have to have pre-existing accounts in order to access such features. The Hampton app works with iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
