User Rating:The simple pleasures in life are free. And simple. This is what Draw for iPad proves once more. After downloading this small and free app, you can draw on a canvas with different color pencils. How is that interesting you ask? The app is marked in the appstore as a game, not a productivity app. This means there is something entertaining about it instead of just drawing. Yes and no. The entertaining part is also the drawing! With a bit of help that is.
What his app does is give you something fun todo when you have your iPad, one or more friends (but it’s best with 2 persons) and nothing important to do. Besides drawing on an empty canvas you can also draw on a tic-tac-toe and the app can let you play your own pictionary. In the latter case, the app will show you random words and you draw them showing them to people who have to ask what word you depicted. Sure there are more advanced apps for that than this one, but this is effective and really a lot of fun.
You can store the results, tweet them to your account or connect peer-to-peer via gamekit, which is a lot of fun as well. I even used it to make some quick screens for a game I would like to see on the iPad. It’s very simple and effective and does what it should do. Whatever you do or whoever you are, this game belongs on every iPad, especially considering it’s free! Happy drawing!
We rate this app 4.5 out of 5 stars.
