For those of you who have fond memories of playing the Rayman series of games back in the 90’s… little Raman, & his floating head, are back. The game, coming from the folks at UBISOFT Entertainment, introduce the game by saying, “The legendary platforming hero is making a jump to your favorite mobile device.” I tell you what, they were not lying. At $2.99, it is not a bad offering.

THE GOOD

The very first thing I noticed with this game is how quality that graphics were on my device. As a RAZR MAXX owner, I am not on the latest and greatest hardware, or processor, and yet this game feels & looks as quality as the BEST hardware out there. Beyond the incredibly beautiful graphics you will find that the game play is extremely easy, without feeling trite! The game gives the same simplicity of control as Angry Birds, Tiny Wings, and other infamous mobile games. Where they succeed here is giving the levels a deep, rich, and interactive feel. Though the game maps are straight forward, you are left feeling as if they are larger than they may be. After an hour or so of game play, I was left feeling satisfied and was reminded of the joy I felt after hours of playing SONIC the Hedgehog as a kid.

THE BAD

I tried, quite hard, to come up with negatives for this game. To be honest, I found none.  The one item that I could, arguably, see being an issue for some folks is the fact that you have to buy it. It is true that many of the most popular games, of this nature, are free… but if you have done a lot of downloading in the market you will have noticed that many free games come with ads, in app purchases, and dozens of other things that take away from the game. So, in reality… I like the that this is a purchase app, freed from the in app distractions. At $2.99, I feel it is a worthwhile purchase.

THE UGLY TRUTH

If you are a fan of the type of game play that offers you the ability to sit back while on the bus, in an office, or while waiting for the family to get ready… all  the while requiring minimum attention and time commitment, then this game is for you! You should purchase this game. It is fun. It is quality. It is worth the money.
