User Rating:Vector is a delightful new arcade-style runner that meets the urban “sport” of Parkour. There are over 40 beautifully drawn and challenging levels. But does the app have any staying power, or is it simply using Parkour to make a gimmicky runner?
The Good
Nekki has created quite a fun game with Vector, at least for the first 15 or so levels. The Parkour moves are very life-like and realistic; they’re true to the Parkour style. The graphics are very well drawn, and the contrast between the black runner and the colorful background is stunning. There are quite a bit of Parkour moves included, and it is the closest I’d ever get to practicing Parkour (I’m lazy)!
The Bad
While many of the levels provide for an enjoyable challenge, some of the levels are just downright frustrating. I enjoy a challenge, but C’mon! I also find the purchasing of new moves unneccessary, as you always have enough of the coins to purchase the moves that you need; there’s really no point to the system. Sometimes, the swipe gestures you make aren’t recognized by the game (for example, swiping up to backflip). Gameplay does get stale after awhile, and you’ll more than likely stop playing it shortly after buying.
The Ugly Truth
Vector Full is enjoyable at first, but quickly becomes a stale runner that’s hindered by its lack of recognition of your gestures and poor performance. Even on higher end phones, such as my Samsung Galaxy S3, the app is a resource hog that has quite a bit of lag, at times. Save your dollar for a lottery ticket.
Quick Take
Value:Low.
Would I Buy Again:No.
Learning Curve:Low.
Who Is It For:Parkour fans.
What I Like:Cool Parkour-inspired moves.
What I Don't Like:It becomes stale after a short while.
Final Statement:Vector Full isn’t worth your 99 cents, and you’re better off holding onto your dollar to spend elsewhere.
Inspired by the practice and principles of Parkour, Vector’s intuitive controls please players of all levels, and sophisticated level designs challenge the most demanding players with fast-paced timing puzzles as the traceur “flows” over the dystopian rooftops.
Game Features:

The best parkour-inspired action game! Vector lets you break free and run! Don’t get caught!
