More and more companies prefer iPad over laptops

As a business student and an iPad user I am always excited when hearing how many companies are using the iPad for everyday work.

According to a survey by IDG “Employees use the iPad for business more than 90 percent of the time.” Furthermore the implementation of the iPad in companies has led to the employees spending less time on their laptops, according to the survey more than 70% of the respondents stated that they use their laptops much less after getting an iPad.

What is interrsting is that when looking at the business adoption of the iPad, the survey found 25 percent of companies provided the tablet to employees and an overwhelming 83 percent of businesses won’t consider anything but the Apple device. Guess that’s bad news for companies such as Samsung or Acer.

But companies aren’t the only areas where the iPad is making an impact, throughout 2011 we saw the ipad making its way into cockpits and medical offices. If 2011 ended with surging iPad interest by businesses, there doesn’t appear to be any letup for 2012. Try searching on Amazon with these coupons and find some great deals on iPads, and laptops too if you prefer those.
