There are many card games in the App Store, but few have the nice graphics and excellent game play of Aces Hearts. If you don’t know how to play Hearts, then don’t worry because the game contains a very good help section to instruct you in the rules of this particular card game.
The game is played between four people: you and three of ten available characters. They change each game and some are more competitive than others. Without going into details of the rules, you select three cards and pass them along to the next player. The person whose cards total the lowest score, wins.
Game play and motion is very smooth and there is a little question mark icon to help you select your cards in the event you are completely clueless and don’t know what to do next (a situation I found myself in on a few occasions while playing). At any point you can pause the game. There is also a settings screen to set game difficulty, points, and other game aspects including the use of animation.
Naturally, the game is interactive with Facebook, Twitter and Game Center. The game also tracks your stats for personal bests. I can only presume the game has multiplayer capability but didn’t have a chance to test it. If it doesn’t, it should be added as soon as possible.
Aces Hearts is very cute and fun to play, particularly if you are a fan of card games. In fact, one could say that if you don’t get this game, then you have no Heart.
