User Rating:The U.S. Open Golf Championship is a hugely popular event each year, and millions of people try to watch as much of it as possible. Naturally, this is usually only done by sitting in front of a television set, but with the U.S. Open Golf Association app the golf fan can take in live video, news updates, player information and more.
This app requires a WiFi, 3G or Edge connection in order for live video feed to work successfully, but even without the feed there is still a great deal included. The marquee groups are the subject of all live video coverage, and the app will also link the user to full biographical details and histories for all players involved. Any of the latest news coverage of the Championship will also be readily accessible through the app as well.
This coverage includes course conditions, an overview of the holes, greens and obstacles, and even flyover footage prior to the opening of every day of competition. This means that a user can tune in through the app to watch live coverage, receive up to the minute scores and stats, and even see if the weather has made the course unavailable.
There are other golf apps for those using Android, Blackberry, Nokia, Palm, Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone and iPod Touch devices, but few that give such comprehensive and live coverage of this major event.
Amazingly, this app is free to download, but does require the correct connection to function optimally.
If you want to take in all of the Championship action and information, the U.S. Open Golf Association app is right for you.
