App Update – Gazette

When it comes to RSS readers for the iPhone and iPod Touch we have focused largely on NetNewsWire and Byline. Both are excellent apps for accessing your RSS feeds on and off-line. There are, however, a number of up-and-coming challengers and one just got a bit of an update.
Gazette, was released just the other day and has already received an update.
Gazette syncs with Google Reader, sports a simple and clean user interface, fully supports Google Reader folders and provides offline access to posts and to starring and sharing articles (which are then synced when a connection becomes available).
This update offers bug fixes but also brings substantially improved "performance and responsiveness throughout the app".
I just tried it again and found it to be much much faster during both sync and reading.
It is definitely worth a look.
