Apple App Store has more than 1 billion downloads per month, puts other marketplaces to shame

It seems that this year is the year for billions as Whatsapp has officially reached a record of a billion messages sent per day. In addition to that, Apple also has a billion reasons to celebrate as their App Store, which delivers applications to iOS devices such as iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch had succeeded in reaching more than a billion downloads per month and the figure will definitely rise.

In addition to that, the Mac App Store on the other hand which centralizes in selling applications made for the computer section of Apple, particularly their Mac machines managed to get 100 million applications downloaded so far. This number may not be in the monthly figure but given the number of users and application in the Mac App Store, the number is definitely something worth celebrating about.

Apple has made a lot of money with its sensational devices which include the iPhone, iPad and the iPod Touch. In fact, these devices account to a lot of the revenue that Apple has received for the year. In fact, there are already millions of dollars traded already from the App Stores and a percentage of it was received by Apple as well.
