GTA: Vice City headed to Android, iOS
Rockstar Games has announced that they will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the PlayStation 2 (PS2) games console, with an anniversary edition for mobile devices. On Friday, Oct. 26, Rockstar Games announced via its blog “In conjunction with the anniversary, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be releasing an Anniversary Edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for select iOS and Android devices later this fall.”
Furthermore they added that this will not be a scaled down version, but the whole shebang, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms.
For those unfamiliar with GTA Vice City, The classic title sees protagonist Tommy Vercetti take on the Miami underworld.
Currently, the iOS versions of GTA III and GTA: Chinatown Wars games sell for $0.99. Rockstar Games did not divulge the price for the mobile version of GTA: Vice City, but judging by the GTA III pricing of $4.99 at launch, it is possible that this version too will be priced around the same mark.
