iOS 7 Sparks Malware Creators Interest
iOS 7 will be unveiled Monday by Apple, the launch will take place in this autumn. Interest in the new version of the operating system is great, so great that hackers begin to develop websites and programs through which to infect users. The folks at Websense have discovered several websites developed for future phishing attack, they are built around the idea that iOS 7 will soon be released by Apple.
At Websense® Security Labs™ we recently spotted an interesting case of a phishing domain related to the imminent release of the Apple iOS7 Operating System. As gossips circulate news in the wild about iOS7 after the D11 conference presented by Apple CEO Tim Cook, cybercriminals are setting up a foundation for phishing and malicious activities.
Phishing attacks direct users to fake websites where they are asked to enter login data for various accounts, so hackers can steal Apple IDs extremely easy, tricking users that logging would allow them to download iOS 7. Be very careful and do not log on unfamiliar websites, because you can quickly remain without data.
