Jailbreak for iOS 6 FAQ

While the iOS 6 has been around for quite some time, there has yet to be an untethered jailbreak for it. However, that is still limited to a few devices and these are the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch 4G. As it is a tethered jailbreak, you will need to connect your device to the computer to reboot your jailbreak iOS device. Cydia needs to be installed separately as well.

The devices that are still unable to be jailbreak are the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPad 2 and the latest iPod Touch. In addition to that, Apple TV devices running iOS 6 has yet to get a working jailbreak as well. However, you can still downgrade your iOS although this is still limited to a few devices (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G). Once downgraded, you can get the untethered jailbreak which is a much preferred solution instead.

We don’t doubt that there will be a jailbreak soon because a jailbreak developer with the name Grant Paul is already working on one. However, the version has yet to reach maturity so it will be a while before it can be released to the public.
