Jony Ive designs Special Edition Mac Pro

I know many have complained about the new Mac Pro, not everyone is liking the new bold design, and some are complaining about the user upgradability in the future. Personally however I am one of those people who love the new Mac Pro.

Now, Apple’s design guru Jony Ive has created a masterpiece that will be auctioned off for charity. The Mac was created in collaboration with industrial designer Marc Newson, and features a beautiful RED design, the Mac will be auctioned off on November 23  at Sotheby’s and is expected to fetch between $40-60,000.

What’s interesting is the fact that the Mac Pro will not officially be released to the masses until sometime in December, that means whoever wins this auction will get one of the first Mac Pros.

Proceeds from the customized Mac Pro will go towards the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
