If you are a fan of Monty Python then this is a must have app for your iPad. Melcher Media just released Monty Python: The Holy Book of Days which is an interactive app that provides readers with an official behind-the-scenes look at the shooting of the troupe’s epic film “Monty Python & the Holy Grail.” It’s packed with loads of material pulled from the vaults that has never been seen or heard before, including outtakes, rehearsals, songs, sound effects, scripts, dozens of stills, and much much more.

Alongside the iPad app, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing ‘The Grail for the first time on Blu-ray , whats interesting about this is the fact that with your iPad and Blu-ray player synced via your WiFi network, the app becomes your remote control and lets you see the exact scenes talked about in The Holy Book of Days. It’s an entirely new way of watching the film.

We think that if you’re a fan of the  cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, then the iPad app is a great addition to your collection. The app is available in the App Store for $4.99

Here are just some of the features included in the app:

* More than 70 minutes of never-before-seen video, including outtakes and visits to the Holy Grail locations.
