New features that is available on iOS 5.1

The new iOS 5.1 was released along with the new iPad launch. Like all updates, users will get a lot of the bugs fixed as well as some new features being introduced and the same goes to the iOS 5.1 too. There were a few new features that users might not notice but nevertheless, it is worth knowing especially with some of them being quite useful for a lot of people.

One of the few features worth noting is the new face detection feature where the camera application can detect up to 10 different faces. Instead of showing the prominent faces, the app will also now show all the faces instead. In addition to that, there are also a three new icons that Apple has incorporated to its Location feature. There is also the mobile Safari modification that Apple made where clicking a new tab won’t make it go to the bookmark page but rather to a blank page instead.

These are just some of the many differences that Apple has made to the new iOS. In addition to that, as far as jailbreaking is concerned, it may still be some time before an untethered iOS 5.1 jailbreak to be available. When it does, we will definitely update you on that.
