OS X Mavericks out Today for FREE!

Today Apple announced that OS X Mavericks would be releaesed immediately following the Keynote, and for the first time ever Apple is making their new OS X totally free, that’s right nada, zilch, nothing! It is available from the Mac App Store right now so go download it right now!
Along with all the other great apps released from Apple today, you can find Mavericks in the Mac App Store as a free upgrade. Craig Federighi had a lot of really nice things to say about Mavericks such as:
“Mavericks is an incredible release, which introduces significant new apps and features, while also improving the performance and battery life of your Mac, we want every Mac user to experience the latest features, the most advanced technologies, and the strongest security. We believe the best way to do this is to begin a new era of personal computing software where OS upgrades are free.”
According to the Keynote any Mac capable of running Mountain Lion can run Mavericks, however you can see the full list of spec requirements is available here.
