Pat Schroeder Narrates “The House that Went on Strike” Interactive Book App for iPad
For those unfamiliar with Pat Schroeder, here is a brief history of a remarkable woman. 40 years ago she raised eyebrows bringing diapers to the House floor. 25 years ago next month, she became one of the first moms to run for President of the United States. Now, Grandmother and former Congresswoman Pat Schroeder has a new campaign: getting kids to do their chores via her first foray into the app world, and proving a 72 year old, “digital-phobe” can become high-tech!
When Rania Ajami, Filmmaker and Jumping Pages founder, approached Pat to narrate the developers new kids book app “The House that Went on Strike”, a rhyming, musical and interactive new kids book app that teaches kids (and their parents!!) respect for the house, the former Congresswoman was at first a little indecisive, stating that “the iPad wasn’t her thing”, however after having read the story she loved it and accepted.
The house that went on strike is a really good app which is well worth downloading, not only if you have kids but in general it is recommended for everyone.
If you would like to purchase The House that Went on Strike ($2.99 iPad) you can find it on the App Store
