This is really cool, glue Isobar has created an innovative mobile web experience to support the release of Toyota’s new sports car, the GT86.

The eagerly awaited Toyota GT86 is the first sports car by Toyota since the MR2, Supra and Celica, and has been over ten years in development. Dubbed as the ‘Real Deal’, Toyota’s new sports car is built for driving pleasure and excitement.

The rich site offers state of the art parallax scrolling and 360-degree spin view of the car, which gives a unique taster of the car. Built in HTML5, it allows users to get see the history of Toyota’s racing heritage, read news and reviews via social media channels, and even request an e-Brochure or book a test-drive.

This work follows the agency’s previous campaign surrounding the pre-launch of the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The mobile optimized site was developed by glue Isobar’s specialist mobile teams and launches on the 17th August. Users can access the site on Android or iPhone at toyota.co.uk/m/gt86, where they can also preview the TV ad. The site is part of Toyota’s on-going mobile innovation strategy.

Wayne Brown, Managing Director, glue Isobar commented; “The GT86 is a hugely important car that re-writes the rule book. To match this we wanted to create a mobile experience where clever use of technology and understanding of users, would come together to push the boundaries of what you could do in the space.”
