What a new connector means for the iPhone user

Every iPhone, or iOS device user for that matter, must be familiar with the 30-pin connector which has been present for just as long as anyone can remember. The good thing about using this 30-pin connector is that it supports just about any Apple made devices out there. For the average user, it also means that you can connect different types of devices through a single cable as well.

However, for the next iPhone, it will not be using the normal 30-pin connector but instead, a smaller and modified version of the 30-pin connector. In Apple’s point-of-view, using this new type of connector will give more rooms for other components instead. For the average users, it might just give a bit more headache than usual, particularly if the user has bought a lot of accessories using the 30-pin connector.

As far as anyone is concerned, all of the accessories such as a portable charger, docking station and a few other things will not be able to be used on the new iPhone. However, a solution might just lie on a 30-pin converter instead but this will give in to added bulk to the iPhone user itself. Hopefully, the transition between one connector to the other will be a good one instead.
