It’s understandable that developers want to cash in on the success of App Store hits like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, but surely calling a game Cut the Birds 3D is a distastefully unsubtle way of doing it, isn’t it?
Blatant sponging off other games’ fames aside, Cut the Birds is actually quite an enjoyable game in itself. Birds fly up from the bottom of the screen and it’s your job to slash them using your finger. The longer they stay on-screen, the closer they get to you, before eventually smashing themselves on the inside of your iPhone screen, losing you a life (that’s the ‘3D’ effect, you see).
The downfall of this fundamentally sound game is that there is never any sense that you’re really progressing through the game. There are two basic modes, one of which involves bombs flying across the screen which instantly kill you if you slash them, but no level variety or rating systems.
The poor value for money here when compared with some other similarly priced games means that you’re better off spending it elsewhere. The gameplay is fun and frantic, but killing the same birds on the same screen means that your eyes – soon followed by the brain – will quickly get bored. Shame.

What I Don't Like:Chronic lack of variety, levels, weapons and just about anything else.
Final Statement:Fun bird slasher let down by a lack of variety.

Cut the Birds is an action 3D game where you have to slash different kinds of 3D birds before they smash into your screen and crack it.
Check out how fast your eyes and fingers can go and how far you can advance in stopping the aggressive birds.
Be aware of bombs! Don’t slice the bombs otherwise they explode your screen and the game would be over instantly.
Current version of the game has two modes: “Classic” and “No bombs”. Choose your favorite mode for maximum enjoyment.
Get extra bonus points by cutting several birds with one slash.
