Another addition to the Cut The Rope family, Cut the Rope: Time Travel promises new levels and stages with the same ingenuity that shook thousands of gamers across the globe. Following the same swipe to slice game concept, the crux of the game still revolves around cutting strings at timed intervals to release candy into the gaping jaws of a hungry frog.
With this game, the whole time travel concept is largely irrelevant other than for aesthetic purposes. As a theme, it involves ancient classics ranging from the pyramids to pirate ships and also brings the ancestors of the characteristic frog from the series into play.
There hardly is anything spectacular in Cut the Rope: Time Travel to set itself apart from the rest in the same series. With pretty much identical gameplay where even the power-ups stay the same, think of this as a mere expansion pack for the original and its sequels.
But nonetheless, I really liked what the entire series had to offer as a whole and enjoyed myself tremendously playing to the countless new levels this sequel had to offer.
If you have an extra dollar to spare, this is a wonderful game to spend it on.
