User Rating:Dots: A Game About Connecting was our App of the week and you might remember me mentioning the irresistible execution of the game. Though I gave you a short summary then, its time to go a little deep into the game.
So how to play Dots: A game about connecting? The gameplay is pretty plain where all you need to do is connect adjacent dots of same color. Swipe right, left, up or down, but not diagonally to connect as many dots as possible. Score big in one minute to make it into their Hall of Fame.
There are some tools to help you, too. Freeze for 5 second, shrink a dot and remove dots of a color by using power-ups available below the board. The best part is that the power-ups are bought with dots we win and hence, can easily be earned. You can have the most of this game without spending a buck.
As told earlier, the execution is the real winner in this game and reminds us of the same in LetterPress. The white interface, colorful dots, subtle sound effects, colored borders and ascending tone on connecting dots are all adorable. The inclusion of multiplayer mode and cute scribbled achievements is a cherry on top.
All of these, along with the addictive gameplay is sure to keep you glued to your iPhone for hours.
