Elliana is a wonderful digital book for your iPad. Aimed at children between 3 and 10 years, it is charming enough to delight anyone: either from 1-3 or from 11-99. iPads shine with this kind of digital books, packed with beautiful and luminous hand-drawn images, paired with fun animations. Items in green can be “activated”, and will move around, make sounds or in general “do something”.

A mesmerizing story, made into the 21st century kindergarten reader with puzzles (suitable for children scattered through the story,) to keep the interactivity up – iPad style. The book is read-through, with warm voices all over. You can, of course, switch off either the text or the reading. We can’t tell much more of the app without spoiling the book, but there’s one thing we can say nevertheless: it is a very good book.

iPads make wonderful bedtime stories containers, and Elliana is well worth being one of the tales you go through with your child. If we were to have a complaint (albeit minor) it would be the font size, which could be too small for some children (or adults!)
