User Rating:After their highly popular Extreme Road Trip game, Roofdog Games are back with its sequel. Gaining over 6000+ 5-star reviews within a week of release, it looks like they have hit the spot again.
Those who have had fun with the initial release would be familiar with the scene. You are on a road trip and oh boy, its extreme! Although not an exact Tiny Wings clone, we are reminded of this classic very often, due to similarities in their core concept.
Extreme Road trip 2 is a two-handed landscape game with a static button under each thumb. Tap the clockwise right and anti-clock left buttons to tilt your awesome ride forward and backwards, respectively. You have to manoeuvre your perpetual accelerating car over hills and valleys, without letting the shining metal spark the ground. Gain speed downhill and you are thrown into the skies over the next cliff. Use the life saver buttons to do a front flip or a back flip or even ambitious multiflips to impress the score cards. After the stunts are over, make sure only the rubber makes the landing else, smokes are all left of you. Each landing is graded and a perfect landing is obviously valuable.
Although this is such a simple concept for an endless game, the developers seem to have spend nights making the gameplay as unique as possible. No two plays are alike, with random arrangement of dunes and peculiar themes. Themes differ in the venue of the stunts, ranging from the sandy beaches to the current Halloween pumpkin fields and so,you never get bored of this one.
During your course of self destruction, you can wreck everything on the way and get extra bounty points. Also occasional land mines blast you off into the skies and you can score more than four big-air flips with ease (oh, Tiny Wings). Newer game concepts like objectives (worth coins) and gifts (crate boxes in this case) are also included.
At the end of the day, we have a really impressive game at our hands. All this for free? Come on guys, this is not a give-away club here. In-app purchases for gold coins (unlock cars with them) and occasional popup ads does the trick for the publishers. So don’t just stare at me, click the link below and get your hands on this must-have game!
