You’ve just unboxed your iPhone. The video’s on Youtube, your new gadget is shiny, and you’re ready to start enjoying it to the max. So where to start? Even though the iPhone is prized for its user friendly, intuitive interface, there is so much more you can do with it, if only someone would show you. Enter: iCademy!

Because everyone is always telling us how easy it is to use an iphone, we might forget that there’s loads of stuff we don’t know how to do. That’s why there are a gazillion online iphone help forums. But having a handy app on your phone to get you out of an iphone crisis is so much more useful. On 250 flash cards you get a comprehensive how to for your iphone, for instance how to back stuff up, type more quickly, edit your ipod, sync your pictures, thwart thieves and lots more great tips. Here’s a few I particularly liked:

* how to use your iphone as a wifi hotspot for other devices.
* how to equalize the sound of different songs on your ipod
* how to restart a frozen app
* get a signal back (very, very useful indeed!)

As with mostreally great ideas, icademy makes you think “why didn’t someone do this before?” Think of the wheel, sliced bread, the printing press, ketchup in a bottle you can squeeze… But I digress: iCademy is the perfect companion to your iphone. And it’s free. So just get it.
