The technology known as GPS (Global Positioning System) has come a long way in a very short period of time. Now, it can even allow individual users to find one another through mobile devices. This is done with the iLOCi2 app which receives permission from contacts to identify their GPS signal and find it at any point in the future.

This is a great way for employers to monitor staff members, parents to see where their children are at any given moment, and even friends to locate one another when out on the town. The iLOCi2 app requires each contact to first receive a request for permission, and if they accept the invitation to be included on the buddy list they will then appear on the GPS Google Map whenever the app is started.

Of course, the positions are never a general point on a map, but usually contain the exact address information for that individual’s specific location. The app allows users to add the contacts from their mobile device’s address book, and all requests are immediately added upon acceptance. Email contacts can even be transitioned into the buddy list on the app as well.

While there are many social networking apps that have a “find me” feature that uses a GPS or manually entered location, the iLOCi2 allows the individual to continually monitor the physical location of their buddies.
