User Rating:The Robotvision app is a remarkable new way to find out about your surroundings. It uses the location of the mobile device to deliver targeted information about businesses, landmarks, and other sites in the area. It provides users with access to photographs, Twitter users in the area, and even Wikipedia content as well.
It also provides a host of communication tools to use with the search results generated through the app. When using Robotvision the mobile device owner simply opens the app and selects a category from the scrolling menu, which could be something like a coffee shop, restaurant or museum. They can then hold the device up to see the results as touch bubbles on the view screen, or they can hold it down and see a Google map of the local results as well.
Adjustable ranges allow for a larger set of results, and simply tapping the arrows on the screen can allow the user to quickly view each, individual contact. If more detailed information is required, the app allows the user to access Bing to find anything from reviews to more details.
There are some other travel apps, like NearestPlaces, but the Robotvision app combines the power of several search engines and provides a unique user screen to create a singular experience. This app is designed to work strictly with iPod Touch and iPhone devices.
The Robotvision app costs $0.99 to download and all upgrades are entirely free of charge.
If you want an innovative and remarkably resourceful tool for finding about your surroundings, this is the app for you.
