The RJD2 Mix app offers fans of the artist a unique opportunity to really experiment with and explore his work. The app allows the user to mix, fade and apply special sound effects to any track of the newest album – The Colossus! When using the RJD2 Mix app there are opportunities to select from the individual tracks and then to blend them and control the speed.

Users can listen in a loop, add a delay, apply hi or lo filters, flange or tilt a segment, and even use the tough screen to add a custom DJ scratch. All tracks on the available album can be mixed during play and this allows the user of the app to interact with the music in a unique way. Multiple tracks can be used and it takes only the touch of a finger to switch between the two tracks playing. There is also a built-in connection to the Twitter and iTunes pages for RJD2 as well. Unfortunately the mixes are not yet capable of recording and the app is strictly a live experience.
