So, you’re tired of the color of the paint in your kitchen, and while standing in it one morning you notice that the color of the curtains with the sun shining through are the perfect new color. You grab the camera and snap a picture to use when you head to the paint store. If you have the ColorSnap app, however, you won’t need that trip.

The ColorSnap app will take your photograph and match it up with one or more of the 1,500-plus paints in the Sherwin Williams library. You could use the photograph as the palette that the app must match, or you could request a shade particularly suited to one area of the image. You can then fine tune the colors using the application’s lightness, saturation and hue adjustments too.

Once you have found the colors you want you can save them or share with friends and family on Facebook or via email. You can get opinions without wasting time, gas or paint! You can also just browse through the Sherwin Williams’ paint library by color groups and see if there is anything that grabs your interest. When all decisions are made you can then use the app to find the nearest company store where the colors can be made to order.

There are other paint apps such as the Ben Color Capture and ColorChange, but the ColorSnap app is the only one geared specifically towards the Sherwin Williams color library.

There is absolutely no cost for the app and all updates will be provided free of charge too. This app functions with iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
