If you are a fan of the public radio program This American Life, then the companion app is a good choice for you. It provides access to every single episode dating all of the way back to the first one in 1995, and includes video of the Emmy winning TV shows too.

The This American Life app allows the user to browse the entire archive and search it using contributor names, subjects and more. A favorites list is easily created, and these can be readily shared through the in-app email feature or posted to Twitter and Facebook as well.

There is a handy station finder for location broadcasts within the user’s listening area, access to the companion blog, and even a countdown page showing the days, hours, and minutes until the next live broadcast occurs. There is also an option for streaming live broadcasts too. All shows appear on the screen with a brief summary of guests, date of original airing, and duration.

There are many radio streaming apps, and even some connected to popular radio shows, but the This American Life app is the only officially authorized way to scour the archives and enjoy current content too.
