Fancy a little Mozart? What about some Scott Joplin? With the Finger Piano app you can play easily recognizable piano favorites without a single lesson. The app guides the player using sliding icons across the keyboard on the viewing screen. In a matter of seconds the user can be playing one of the included 88 pieces of famous music.

This app doesn’t demand any previous knowledge of sheet music or piano playing to enjoy. It simply requires the user to select from one or two handed compositions and then to follow along as the guides appear on the screen. The player can opt to work in silent mode and listen in only through their headphones, or they can put on a performance that is worry free and absolute perfection.

There are other piano and instrumental teaching tools and apps for those using iPod Touch and iPhone devices, but this one is intended to be purely for entertainment and relaxation. Once a player has mastered a composition on their mobile device, however, they can easily take this performance to a standard keyboard as well.

There is a “lite” version of this app which is offered for free, but it has only four songs included. The full version of the app costs $1.99 to purchase and gives you access to the complete library of existing songs and you receive all updates and new tunes for free.
