User Rating:Have you ever wanted a graphical way to tell time? Maybe you’re one of those people who loves old-fashioned clocks that depict the phases of the moon? The Polar Clock app is a remarkably simple way to get an up to the second display of the time, but to also track the date and phase of the moon too.
How does the Polar Clock app work? Well, if you envision each measure of the time, date, and year as a three hundred and sixty degree arc (or a full circle) and then imagine each of the arcs minimizing as the day, second, minute, etc passes, then you will be able to see how the app displays its data. For example, when you open the display at midnight you would see the moon in its current phase positioned in the center of the screen.
Next, would come the month, then the date, the day of the week, the number of hours left in the day, the number of minutes left to the hour, and the number of seconds left in the current minute. Each bit of data is going to form part of an arc and as the day begins counting down the arcs shrink to depict the passage of time.
There are many clock apps like Hue Clock and Flip Time, but the Polar Clock is a remarkably unique and graphic way to watch time pass and measure the phases of the moon.
The cost for the app is $0.99 and all updates are free of charge. This app is designed for the iPod Touch and iPhone devices.
If you want to enjoy a rare and unique time piece this is one app to download right away.
