Who could possibly understand the navigational needs of pilots better than their fellow pilots? The PilotWizz app has been designed by experienced flyers to support the in-flight needs of GA – general aviation – pilots and includes all kinds of automatic calculations and guides. It even allows browsing of Google maps and airport details too.

The PilotWizz app can be used in much the same way as the popular wizz wheel functions, but it provides the pilot with a great deal more. They can use the app to deal with weight and balance issues, determine their fuel needs, get a guide for holding patterns, and even understand certain weather patterns and crosswinds.

Data is updated and refreshed during use, and a helpful time stamp indicates the age of all information appearing on the screen. It also features a route planning option that ties directly into online airport data and all available Google maps. The app will also automatically remember and open to the pilot’s last point of use as well.

There an array of flight and navigational support apps that include Air Navigation Free and AOPA Airports, but few can offer the same features as the wizz wheels along with the other helpful and beneficial features too.

This app functions solely with iPod Touch and iPhone devices, and automatically updates to the correct time zone data.

There is no cost for the PilotWizz app, and it functions in English, French, Italian and Spanish languages.
