If you are like me, you enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. This often requires doing things like drafting shopping lists and keeping track of the original recipes to be made later on. Additionally, if I find a particular meal to be delicious, easy or unique I like to share it with friends or even mail them the recipe. The Epicurious Recipes and Shopping List app makes doing all of these things super-easy and convenient.

The app features many different functions, but it focuses on providing a huge array of recipes which the user can browse through their mobile device. Currently there are over 25,000 available, and these can be filtered by many different headings and categories for easier viewing. The search feature also allows the user to seek out particular ingredients or seasonal items too.

If you find a recipe of particular interest, you can save it directly to the device for later experimentation. If you think a friend, family member or co-worker will enjoy it the Epicurious Recipes and Shopping List app allows you to email it directly from the user screen. The app will also put together a full shopping list that incorporates several recipes which can be “checked off” at the store. Furthermore, it allows the user to view the recipe in a step-by-step fashion.

There are other mobile cookbooks, but this one integrates the widest range of functions and services for the user to enjoy. It is available only for iPod Touch and iPhone users.
