User Rating:If you’re anything like me, then your mind is constantly going. You’re thinking about what type of flower arrangement (modern and chic- no crappy greens) to send to Grandma for her birthday (when is it?) from that great florist near Ft. Lauderdale (what’s the name?) OR what ingredients you need to buy (and from which stores) for that Purple Jasmine Coconut Rice recipe (YUM- https://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001507.html) that you’re making for the dinner party tonight OR what tasks need to be completed (drop off the dry cleaning, call the electrician, pay the cable bill) to ensure that nothing falls by the wayside during your hectic work week.
Again, like me, you want a no-frills categorization tool that will help you organize your never-ending musings, in one place. Well here’s the program for you- Listomni.
This nifty app arranges the most important lists in one place- "Grocery List", "Todo List" and "All Lists" (essentially a "make up your own" capability). It’s, let’s say "simple", interface allows you to create customized lists and enter data (for all lists) quickly and easily. For example, I can touch the "All Lists" and plus sign buttons on my phone and an "Add Item" screen appears. I then enter the "List Title" (name of the list), "Type" (grocery, to do, etc.) and "Parent" (folder under which it may placed- nice feature) and voila- a new list is created and categorized without any trouble at all.
Entering items, within an existing list, is just as easy- a few finger touches, using the core i-Phone features, and you’re done. In addition to the "Grocery and Todo" lists, a "Birthday List" and " To Bring Folder" come loaded with the app, giving you basic examples of what kinds of customizable lists/folders you can build on your own.
Listomni also provides a great "Help" feature.
It is well-organized and complete, explaining the finer points of grouping items and dictionaries (Grocery store items/sections/stores/units and Todo categories/priorities), amongst its other features.
Although other apps provide similar functionality, I’ve really taken a shine to this one’s straightforward, user-friendly, look and feel; I hope you will, too!
QUICK TAKE-
Value: Fair (at $6.99)
Would we buy it again: Yes
Learning Curve: Low
Who is it for: Someone with a "one app should do it all" mentality
What we like: Its basic functionality, multiple "apps" in one
What we don’t like: Lack of graphics
Bottom Line: Very useful and easy
